Sasaki to Pii-chan

Sasaki, a dull middle aged salaryman working at a trading company, has no family, or love life, or even any money. Looking for solace in his life, Sasaki visits a pet store and buys a little gray bird named Pii-chan. The strange bird seems to understand human speech - and for good reason. It turns out that Pii-chan is actually a reincarnated wizard from another world who was assassinated by corrupt aristocrats. Pii-chan's magic allows Sasaki to travel to his home world, where he is encouraged to purchase goods in Japan, and sell it for this world's gold-based currency. As Sasaki lives a relaxing double life, Pii-chan even teaches him how to use magic. One day back in Japan, Sasaki is surprised to witnesses a demon attacking a young woman. Sasaki's newfound magic dispatches the demon, but unfortunately exposes him to the Paranormal Phenomenon Countermeasures Bureau, who is tasked with policing magic use in the real world. Against his will, Sasaki is forced to change jobs and join the Bureau while trying to keep ahold of his comfortable life in both worlds.
